The Honorary Solicitor is Paul Sugden who lectures in the Department of Business Law and Taxation at the Berwick Campus of Monash University Melbourne. He writes regular columns for Textile Fibre Forum magazine, “Legally Speaking,” which are posted on the website, and has a long association with TAFTA.

TAFTA is registered as a charity and is legally able to accept tax-deductible donations which must be reported bi-annually to the Register of Cultural Organisations. The Board of Directors of TAFTA welcomes your input. All subscribers to Textile Fibre Forum magazine are also members of the company and entitled to comment on Policy Items that may be posted on the website from time to time and/or to contact the Board through its President, Leonie McNally (leonietafta@gmail.com) or via the CEO, Janet De Boer O.A.M. tafta@iinet.net.au

The core business of TAFTA is currently: the production of the quarterly colour magazine, Textile Fibre Forum; operating a gallery and bookshop at 159 Payne Road, The Gap (Brisbane) – the bookshop can also be accessed online, and operating the TAFTA FORUMs traditionally held in April at Kinross-Wolaroi School in Orange, NSW – and in late September at Geelong Grammar School Corio Victoria.

As well, a Resources Centre is operated as part of the Office/Gallery building at 159 Payne Road, The Gap (Brisbane) and the CEO is available to provide information and advice insofar as the workload permits. TAFTA has had the same CEO since it became a company in 1987: Janet De Boer O.A.M.
